About my work

I aim to provide a place where you can share what is currently difficult for you in a confidential and non-judgmental space. We will explore together what kind of habitual thought patterns or behaviour may be holding you back from a more fulfilling life.

I enjoy working together with my clients to find a more comfortable way of holding their place in the world and in their relationships. I believe our bodies hold the history of our lives, and by paying attention together, we can explore how listening to your body can support you in the present moment.

Training and background

I have over six years of experience working with a wide range of clients from a variety of backgrounds. I have had a strong focus on eating disorders and body image issues, often co-existing with anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or childhood trauma. I am also experienced in supporting clients through transitional periods in their lives.

In my professional life, I have led national leadership programmes in education and mental health, supporting individuals to become effective and successful leaders.

I have an enduring interest in the human experience. I completed my first degree in Psychology twenty years ago, followed by an MSc in Occupational Psychology. Most recently I have an MSc in Gestalt Psychotherapy from Metanoia Institute.

The modality draws its influences from a diverse range of sources including psychology, Eastern spirituality, psychoanalysis and existential philosophy. I was drawn to Gestalt psychotherapy for the emphasis it places on being present in our lives in a relational and embodied way.

See the page What is Gestalt Therapy? if you are interested in reading more about this.

I am a member of the professional body UKCP and abide by their code of ethics.

I offer long and short-term therapy, from 6 weeks to open-ended. We will have an initial session to meet each other, clarify your aims and understand if we are a good fit. The sessions are weekly 50-minute sessions at £65 per session, including the initial one.

I work on Friday afternoon/evening at Linen Hall on Regent Street (W1) and on Monday afternoon/early evening in Farringdon (EC1).
