THE LONDON PRACTICE
Psychotherapy and Coaching
Gestalt Psychotherapist and Coach
About me and my work
I am an accredited Gestalt Psychotherapist and the founder of the London Practice. The therapeutic approach I trained in is called Gestalt therapy, a humanistic approach, which explores our present experiences in order to better understand the various coping mechanisms we have learned over time, and which may need to be 'updated'.
By becoming more aware of how we are contributing to our current situation, relationships and problems, we can become more choiceful and able to change.
To read more about what kind of themes people have come to me with, and found this work helpful for, continue to Coming For Therapy.
I try to meet you from one human being to another, rather than treat or analyse you. I will work slightly differently with each client -what you will get is me, in relation to you and what you bring, rather than a fixed approach or school of thought. I work with a focus on creative ways of coming to new insights and actionable practices for you to get the most out of your therapy process.
Background and training
I have over eight years of experience working with adults as well as young people and children, both in private practice and within the NHS and in a school in London.
In addition to my training as a Gestalt Psychotherapist at the Metanoia Institute, I have training in Systemic Couples Counselling and Constellations for Teams and Groups.
I am an accredited Gestalt Therapist with the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) and I work within their ethical frameworks. I am also a full member of the European Association for Gestalt Psychotherapy (EAGT).
As a therapist, I primarily work with individuals or couples and sometimes with several members of a family together (eg. parents and children).
As a coach I work with (co-)founders, leaders and their teams and individuals who want to explore and develop themselves, and the culture they are creating together.
Having grown up in Germany, studied in England, and spent several years working in Spain, I speak German, English and Spanish fluently. I offer therapy and coaching only in German or English, but you or your partner can also speak to me in Spanish.
Session information and fees
I currently work exclusively online.
We will initially book an Exploratory Session (via Zoom), at which we will discuss your reasons for coming, hopes for therapy and how we might work together and/or if another path or approach is better suited for you.
The fee for all 50-minute sessions is £70, including the Exploratory Session.
The fee for a 90-minute couple’s session is £125.
You can find detailed information on my sessions and general terms here.
