THE LONDON PRACTICE
Psychotherapy and Coaching
About me and my work
I am a qualified Psychotherapeutic Counsellor and the founder of the London Practice. The therapeutic approach I trained in is called Gestalt Therapy, a humanistic approach, that explores our present moment experience in order to better understand the various coping mechanisms we have learned over time, and which may need to be 'updated'.
By becoming more aware of how we are contributing to our current situation, relationships and problems, we can become more choiceful and able to change.
To read more about what kind of themes people have come to me with, and found this work helpful for, continue to Coming For Therapy.
I try to meet you from one human being to another, rather than treat or analyse you. I will work slightly differently with each client -what you will get is me, in relation to you and what you bring, rather than a fixed approach or school of thought. I work with a focus on creative ways of coming to new insights and actionable practices for you to get the most out of your therapy process.
Because of my work as a coach and workshop facilitator, which sometimes takes me away from London for several months, I offer focused and time limited therapy sessions. You can find out more about my sessions here.
Background and training
I have over eight years of experience working with adults as well as young people and children, both in private practice and within the NHS and in a school in London.
In addition to my training as a Gestalt Psychotherapist at the Metanoia Institute, I have training in Systemic Couples Counselling and Constellations for Teams and Groups. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) and work within their ethical framework.
As a therapist, I primarily work with individuals or couples and sometimes with several members of a family together.
As a coach I work with (co-)founders, leaders and their teams and individuals who want to explore and develop themselves, and the culture they are creating together.
Having grown up in Germany, studied in England, and spent several years working in Spain, I speak German, English and Spanish fluently. I offer therapy and coaching in German or English.
Ich biete Psychotherapie, Paartherapie und Coaching auch auf Deutsch an.
Session information and fees
You can find detailed information on the sessions I offer, including fees, duration and general terms here.
The fee for the initial individual consultation of approximately 45 minutes is £45, this will give us the chance to discuss your reasons for coming, answer questions, and decide whether we can and want to work together.
Once we commence our work, the fee per individual session is £65 for a 50-minute session and these are normally weekly or twice weekly.
The fee for a 90-minute couple’s session is £110, these are normally fortnightly.
I am recognised as a specialist provider by AXAPPP Healthcare and Vitality Health Insurance. Please make a direct inquiry with your provider to see if sessions with me would be covered under your plan.
